whyyy ulta???

these are my ‘favorite’ drugstore brands because they’re ‘cruelty free’

but i hate my local ulta

and i dont like shopping for makeup online

i wanted to hate this so badly! 

The other day I want to Ulta because NYX was having a BOGO and that’s kinda the best.  Well it turns out that the soft matte lip creams were excluded from the sale and I didn’t know and had a very unpleasant shopping experience overall so I just left with one (in Stockholm) (and wet n wild color icon single in brulee).  I was so upset over the whole thing and wanted to return it immediately just out of spite.  I got home and tried it on and I wasn’t feeling it.  In retrospective I do realize I was having a bad lip week during this all.  Now that my lips have healed (i’ll talk about that later) I gave it another try.  I’m not really a nude lip kinda person, or matte, but it was time I tried.  

So I put on the lip cream and give it a second.  And it was this slow motion glowing light moment where I started to love it.  And then I looked at my glosses and saw this super summery/gold/brown gloss I have from Mary Kay and it looked amazing with a light layer of that.  And then I looked some more and found a sheer baby pink lancome juicy tube from years ago that I’ve never used and thought, hm, maybe it’s time.  So I put that on and bam! It was magic . And now I can’t return it.  This is definitely a my lips but better nude wizardy going on.  And I don’t even have makeup on, I cant wait to see what it looks like with even skin and a bright eye from mi vida loca palette.

so yea, keeping this lip cream from NYX.

btw the formula on these are amazing.  not too drying for a matte and i actually like the smell.  

p.s.
i do realize that putting gloss over a matte product kinda defeats the purpose, but meh. i have to ease my way into the idea. 

i think it’s time i start a 10 pan project* 

but probably after today’s haul

i plan on picking up some more elf stuff, and probably finally try nyx

im excited
